Hannah looks forward to seeing her Elevator every week and it has helped with her school anxiety and self-confidence. Hannah struggles in school, but having an Elevator allows her to escape academic struggles for a bit and feel special. I love seeing my students look forward to someone in the community who comes to spend time with just them. They feel so important and special. It is a great program to lift up kids! — Kara Duncan

Juanita lives with her grandparents. Her dad passed and her mom is not in her life. I enjoy being able to spend time with her, to be a positive role model in her life, to help give her confidence, and to inspire her to do her best. I think when I/we spend time with students who might not have a lot, or any, positive role models in their lives, it helps them believe in themselves, feel more self-worth and aspire to try harder. — Kim Zwier

My student has always presented herself to me as happy and well-adjusted.
