Education Elevators has had a profoundly positive impact on my students here at Malden. Through its mentorship and support, the program has helped students build confidence, improve their academic performance, and develop meaningful relationships with caring Elevators. I love seeing students get the help and attention they need.

Jayce’s attitude towards school and behavior is much better. He looks forward to when his Elevator comes and is excited to tell him about his grades and his good behavior. Jayce’s Elevator has been very effective for Jayce! — Abby Nelson

Braxton’s Elevator has helped him with his overall academic and social skills. When Braxton comes back to class after meeting with his Elevator, he is generally in a better mood. — Madison Garnes

Michael has benefited greatly from working with Justin. He counts down the time for his Elevator to arrive! Michael's attitude has improved. He began the year with outbursts of anger when things weren't going his way and I have seen a major decrease in this behavior. My students love their time with their Elevators! — Ashley Smith

Killian loves Mr. Donald. He is always excited for his visits. Donald has helped build Killian's confidence and has provided Killian with another trusting, caring adult. Killian loves the one-on-one attention from Mr. Donald. They have developed a great relationship and both seem to enjoy their time together. Damienn has been more trusting of other adults and has been more open with sharing family difficulties. When Damienn has been having a rough day and Lance comes in, his mood shows significant improvement. — Danny Sneed

Lee'Yah seems happier and smiles more. At the beginning of the school year, she just seemed sad. Lee'Yah has opened up to her Elevator about life, school and what makes her happy! I love this program and have witnessed firsthand the positive impact it has on students. Students "light up" when they see their Elevators. That is living proof that this program is working and well-needed for so many students. — David Hill

I know Aurora's Elevator has made a positive impact because Aurora talks about her all the time and looks forward to her visits. Aurora seems more confident, more engaged in learning. — Holly Shankool

Allana loves the personal attention that Kim gives her. She always asks if she is going to see Kim, and looks forward to their time together. Allana just seems happier and takes school more seriously. Allana has improved in many areas of her schoolwork and personal life. — Lisa Sayre

Jocelyn enjoys meeting with her Elevator and having a relationship with another adult. Ms. Butler-Case seems to care about seeing Jocelyn and her well-being. Jocelyn likes going to the sessions, which means that they have formed a connection. Jocelyn seems to be in a good mood when her Elevator is present and is more alert in school. — Rachel Cole

Mattie has a great personality and attitude already, but having her Elevator come see her gave her something to look forward to. Mattie seems more trusting of adults now and the quality and quantity of assignments she turns in are much improved. — Kelsie Adams

Jes'son is happy when he is called to spend time with his Elevator, and when he returns to class. His Elevator is consistent and is a part of Jes'son's week that he looks forward to. — Moriah Francisco

Javin has given Bryleigh someone to trust and confide in. Bryleigh is always very excited for Wednesday afternoon when she gets to see her Elevator and comes back in a great mood! — Manda Bickoff

David has given Colton something to be excited about during the week! He also talks about him frequently and enjoys showing him things about his personal life. It has been good for him to have an Elevator and another caring adult in his life. Colton has a more positive attitude whenever he knows he will get to see David! — Calesha Williamson

Gracie has a new confidence in herself and in her behavior. She has been coming to school with a smile on her face and is ready to learn. Gracie loves visiting Amber every week. She's been wanting to come to school on Fridays just to see her. Amber has strengthened Gracie's confidence in herself and for that, I am thankful. Amber does a phenomenal job with Gracie. Lawrence is excited to see his Elevator and looks forward to days when he gets to spend time with him. Lawrence doesn't usually talk about many adults, but his Elevator is one adult he would talk about in a positive manner. Lawrence has grown quite a bit this year and having his Elevator has helped him through this transition. — Nicole Meadows

Caleb often looks at a calendar and ensures he will be in school on days his Elevator is scheduled to see him! Since they started meeting, I have noticed an improvement in Caleb’s grades in at least 4 classes! — Nicole Meadow

Ashley has become much more confident and present in her day-to-day life. She was very shy and didn't add much to conversations without becoming bashful or nervous to share. She seems to have become her own unique self. She shows a lot more pride in her self-worth and is less hard on herself. Ashley openly expresses things now that she has a safe person to be with. — Morgan Anderson

Kailey seems to be much more positive and happy. She used to complain often about being at school and didn't put much effort into group conversations. Kailey really enjoys the quality time with her Elevator! — Morgan Anderson

Tayla is shy in class; she doesn't like to speak up or give answers, but she's slowly working toward that. I see Tayla maturing! I appreciate everything Tayla’s Elevator and the Elevator program does! — Andrea Perrow

Horace has been a bright light for Jordan. Jordan very much looked forward to and enjoyed his time with his Elevator. I loved the “Elevator” experience, and hope Horace can continue to see Jordan! — Sarah Stumpf
