Grace E. Hurney is an associate practicing with Jackson Kelly in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Hurney returned to the firm in 2017 after serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert B. King, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Her practice involves both general and commercial litigation matters, as well as adoptions and surrogacy agreements.
Ms. Hurney graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2015, where she was awarded the Order of the Barristers. While in law school, she was a member of the West Virginia Law Review, the Marlyn E. Lugar Trial Association, and the United States Supreme Court Litigation Clinic.
Ms. Hurney is a proud graduate of Concord University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2012. Ms. Hurney was active in the Student Government Association and her sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority, serving as President for both organizations. She was also active in Phi Alpha Delta, the pre-law fraternity, and argued in several national mock trial competitions.
Ms. Hurney has been involved in Education Elevators since returning to Jackson Kelly in 2017.
